Last year, we chose to get involved with ‘Business In The Community’, a unique Prince’s Charities organisation that stands for responsible business and is committed to fostering resilient communities, diverse workplaces and a more sustainable future.
Representing the ‘education and young people’ campaign, we visited the Argyle Primary School in Islington – a great inner-city school that required a few extra hands to help renovate their playing grounds (which were in desperate need of some TLC!).
David and Jennie with their paintbrushes at the ready!
After much planning and stocking up on paintbrushes, we spent a day at the school in our overalls re-painting everything from hopscotch grids to monkey bars, but what we enjoyed most was painting a lovely London-themed mural across the playground walls (check it out below!). All in all it was a great day out for us, and it was fantastic to see how happy the Argyle pupils were with their new playground.
If you’re a business that wants to get involved too, be sure to visit: http://www.bitc.org.uk/
Pssst! We haven’t decided which UK charity we’re going to support this year yet, but if you have any suggestions, we’d love to hear from you! Get in touch with us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
